Many New Yorkers,
of course, do not work 9 to 5 – they
work night shifts, overtime,
early mornings and weekends just
to make ends meet. Many raise
children while working full-time
or even multiple jobs; some work
all day and attend school at
night; others are single parents
just barely getting by.
The 9 to 5 Families are the heart of New York State. They live in cities, towns, suburbs and rural communities. They include every race, every religion, and every background imaginable. They are all of the good people of New York who work hard and play by the rules, but who still need the legislature to look for ways to make their lives a little bit easier. All New Yorkers deserve the opportunity to live, work, grow and thrive in their communities. The 9 to 5 agenda lays out our frame work for:
